Developmental, Behavioural, Community and Personal Care Aides
A program for children aged six months to 14 years.
Overview
Pacekids is a qualified provider of Aide Services funded through Calgary Child and Family Services. Families must have a contract with Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) to qualify for this service.
Purpose of Program
In this program, an aide (developmental, behavioural, community or personal care category) works one-on-one with a child in the home or in the community. The program is overseen by a Clinical Coordinator.
The aide supervisor and parents develop a service provider program plan (SPPP) which outlines goals in the areas of behaviour, communication, social interactions, cognition, motor development, mobility and functional living skills. The parents and the aide work together with the child to assist the child with achieving these goals.
The Pacekids team includes a clinical coordinator, aide supervisor and a one-to-one developmental aide.
