ChangeMakers Project

Pacekids was lucky to be chosen by Tyra, a seventh-grade student from Banded Peak School as the charity of choice for her ‪changemakers ‬project.

changemaker (čenǰ mekər) – n. – someone who is taking creative action to solve a social problem.

Changemakers activates a global network of social entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, policymakers, and activists to build the movement for Everyone A Changemaker. The grade seven students at Banded Peak School each take on a changemakers project of their own, and Pacekids is proud to have been chosen.

Tyra organized a toy and book drive, donating all of the items to the children at Pacekids! On Monday, May 16th She came to the North Pacekids school with boxes and boxes of children’s books and toys that she had collected for the children!

During her visit, Tyra sat in with the Jungle Room while the afternoon ECS Program was working on their printing skills. She had the opportunity to meet some of the children that her project was supporting and we were so happy to have her. At the end of the day Tyra said that she loves working with children and wants to be a teacher one day, working with children with special needs.

Thank you Tyra for thinking of Pacekids Programs and helping to change the lives of children with special needs! ‪#‎FeelGoodFriday‬
